Spreading Addiction Awareness & Breaking The Stigma

KP Squared_edited.jpg

In February 2018, we founded KK Fearless, a non-profit, following the one-year anniversary of my sister Krystle's passing due to a drug overdose. Krystle, a vibrant, loving, and talented soul, fell victim to substance use disorder at 27. Tragically, less than three years later, in November 2020, my brother Kevan also lost his battle to the same affliction at the age of 30. Kevan, a kind, gentle, and skilled fisherman, was taken from us.

Their stories, unfortunately, are not unique. In 2022, the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics reported a staggering 109,680 deaths from drug overdoses in a single year, with the numbers on the rise. While KK Fearless was established in honor of Krystle and Kevan, they represent the countless individuals struggling with substance use disorder.

KK Fearless understands the power of music in healing and recovery. We host benefit concerts to raise funds, enabling us to donate musical instruments to local treatment facilities. These instruments become tools for individuals battling addiction, helping them on their journey to recovery.

With your support, we can make a meaningful impact on hundreds of lives, assisting them in overcome substance use disorder, reinforcing their recovery, and combating the stigma associated with this disease. Thank you for standing with us!

It has arrived! The video of our first donation drop off at Harvest Farms rehab with Denver Rescue Mission. One of the greatest things that happened during this drop off was being able to speak to some of the residents at this facility and hear how music has aided them on their path to recovery! They also had a resident volunteer to teach a music theory class. But wait… there’s more! Some of the residents decided to create a band with all the instruments that were given! This was such a great experience and I know Krystle and Kevan would have loved it!

Thank you to All Digital Photo and Video for your support and being there to capture this memorable experience! And much thanks to Pandas & People for being there to share this experience with us. And of course thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!
